Overseas Family School, was the name of my school in Singapore. Over 3000 kids went there. It had Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, and High School. There were 375 people in 5th grade, when I was there. There were about 25 people per class. OFS was much, MUCH different from Bridge School. The teachers were strict, and harsh. There were so many rules like ‘No running in the corridor’, things like that. There was a nurses office, and if I had to count the amount of people that got badly hurt and sent home, it would take forever.
There was a Cafeteria where you could buy all sorts of food! It was very big. There was also a field, Basketball court, and a big library. My teacher’s name was Mr. Ferguson. He was really nice, funny and strict. Once he got so mad that he kicked a hole in the door as he walked out.( I’m NOT exaggerating, and the door was hollow).
I had 9 classes, and A LOT of homework. My classes were Math, Reading, German, Language Arts, Art, Music, P.E., Program of inquiry, Information Technology. We did our Home work online, and we had to check it online. We wore Uniforms.
I really liked being in Singapore, our condo was really nice and it was huge, with 7 pool’s (including the hot tub). It had a Playground, a golf simulator, 2 gyms, and a reading room! Even though it was awesome being there, I still really missed Vermont. I am so glad to be back!!!!!

I’m from Cornwall, VT. My name is Ethan Rockwell Kent. I’ve been to Singapore for the second semester of school. My school was called O.F.S. (Overseas Family School). I was in second grade and this was the first time going to school in Singapore. I was really nervous because I never went to school here before. But, when that semester ended, I came back to Vermont for the summer. Summer was really fun in Vermont, but we had to go back to Singapore. This time I went for all of my third grade year. I was really sad to leave my friends in Vermont. My first day of school (this time) wasn’t so bad because I still had some friends left. But my best friend in Singapore moved to England. I was really sad about that. My other friends names were Jackson and Ryan (were from the U.S.A.) and Philip (he was from Sweden) and Aamish (he was from India). They were really good friends.
My condo was our house, it was named Rivergate. In the condo, it was really small, it was only one story high and it was twice the size of my kitchen (In Vermont). But, it had a really big pool It had one big pool, two medium pools, a baby pool and a jacuzzi. It had a playground, two tennis courts and a basketball court. It’s a pretty fun place.
In general my life was really good except it’s (Singapore) a city and there is so many people there. The population is 5 million. But the good thing was that you can make friends with a lot of people. I had lots of stuff going on there. I had tae kwon do, swimming, piano and a ton of other stuff. It was a really fun experience to live in Singapore, it was a really cool place.
